CUSTOMER SERVICE INFORMATION FOR PASSENGERS TRAVELING TO THE CARIBBEAN OR MEXICO

CHECKED BAGGAGE*

Each ticketed passenger is limited to a total of 44 pounds of checked luggage.  Passengers may carry their entire allowance for checked luggage in one bag or use any distribution of weight between two bags, up to the limit.  Each piece of checked baggage may not exceed 62 linear inches in size (measure the bag’s length + width + height).

*Ryan International Airlines strongly advises passengers to ensure that any valuable, fragile or critical items are packed in carry-on baggage.  These items include, but are not limited to, currency, jewelry, electronic devices, keys, passports, important documents and medical items (including testing equipment and medications) as these items are not covered for loss or damage.

CARRY-ON BAGGAGE AND PERSONAL ITEMS

Carry-on bags are limited to 8 x 13 x 22 inches in size and must fit under the seat or in the overhead compartment.  If there is insufficient space in the cabin of the aircraft, the carry-on bag will be gate checked.

In addition to a single carry-on bag, each passenger is also allowed to bring one personal item such as a purse, laptop or camera bag.

EXTRA BAGGAGE COST

Ryan International Airlines does not have excess baggage fees, but the limitations will be strictly enforced.

PROHIBITED ITEMS IN CHECKED OR CARRY-ON LUGGAGE

Please visit the TSA Website for the latest information on items both accepted and prohibited for carriage in your luggage.

CHILD AND INFANT CAR SEATS* AND STROLLERS

Child and infant car seats as well as strollers are carried free of charge.  Passengers are welcome to bring these items to the boarding gate prior to submitting it to an agent for carriage in the cargo hold.

Passengers wishing to bring their car seats onboard must purchase a seat for the child expected to travel in the device.

*All car seats must meet approval for use on aircraft as set forth by the Federal Aviation Administration.

SPORTING EQUIPMENT*

Most sporting equipment that meets the size limitations of a piece of checked baggage can be carried aboard Ryan International Airlines.  Items larger than 62 linear inches or weighing more than 44 pounds require Ryan’s approval of a written request submitted no less than seven (7) days from the date of departure.

Sporting equipment is carried without use of the passenger’s checked luggage allowance of either maximum number of pieces or maximum weight.  There are no fees associated with carriage of sporting equipment.  Each passenger is limited to a maximum of one checked bag containing sporting equipment in addition to their normal checked allowance.

Golf clubs and equipment must be in a closed golf bag.

SCUBA tanks must be opened at check-in to ensure that they are empty.

Coolers must be sealed to prevent leakage

*All sporting equipment submitted as checked baggage to Ryan International Airlines will be tagged with a Limited Release tag.  It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure all baggage is packed appropriately for travel.
